| This is so not that big of a deal, but I just walked through the news room and Chris Sligh from last season's American Idol is parked at a computer checking e-mail.
I kind of want to say hi, but I would feel dishonest because I didn't watch last season because I didn't have cable.
Famous people are so normal.
Well, maybe it's Chris Sligh who's normal.
If it were Brooke White, I might be freaking.

| When typing, what is the word you spell wrong most often?
(for mine, see title)
I spell this word wrong almost every time I type it. I am always typing siad, or asid. Then, obviously, I have to correct it.

| I retyped my lead sentence for this blog about 10 times before I decided to just be honest: I fear that my blog is starting to morph into those boring "lists" of things that happened between postings.
Seriously, life is too fragile and sensitive to go about chronicling the things I always had. For one, I work in Internet, which makes talking about the things going on at work pretty much impossible. Plus, since I sit in front of a computer posting stories all day, it makes it more laborious to do it for yourself. But that's not even the main reason blogging has become so hard.
I have more secrets now. Not the if-I-tell-you-I'll-have-to-kill-you kind, but the kind that require discretion as far as timing is concerned. There are so many things, so many developments that have occurred in the last month and a half, but I live in this delicate balance now, where if I release too much information at once, it could mean an over-correction later. And I don't want that.
But to be fair to you, and more importantly to myself, I will tell you a few things that are happening. Perhaps, maybe, you can connect the dots on your own...
Joe will graduate from Regent with his master's of fine arts in May. Joe will also graduate from Imagery School in May. Joe will start working in Intelligence with the Navy in May. Joe will volunteer for mobilization in May. Joe will likely be shipped out for at most a year anytime after he finishes school.
Our lease is up in July.
So you can see, even though a lot is happening with Joe, it is happening to me too. And I also betrayed my will power to not turn this into a list, but there you go: a list of all that will happen to us in the next four months.
This year is going to be very interesting. And hopefully not lonely. Hopefully, a part of Joe will remain with me while he is gone.

| Several things happened during my vacation. Let me count them:
1. I went to at least 5 parties. 2. I got my braces put on my teeth -- ouch! 3. Cathy and Christian's son, Elijah, was born. 4. I mailed all my Christmas cards and packages. 5. Joe got a part time job for extra Christmas cash. 6. I saw Beowulf in 3D animation -- so cool! 7. And the BEST thing.... Joe's clearance came through! Which means he can start his advanced training! And it means he can get a super-cool job after he's finished with his Navy obligations.
There are a couple of other things developing. When it shapes up, I will divulge more info.
Ciao!

| In 10 minutes, my Christmas vacation will begin.
I still have to work on Christmas Eve/Christmas, but this is MY WEEK.
No e-mails. No graphics. No breaking news.
If something is happening in the world, I don't care. Leave me alone, CNN, Fox, and ABC. If it has anything to do with Iraq, Elections in 08, Congress, the mortgage crisis, global warming, or David Beckham, I couldn't care less.
Signing Off.
